02Why we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- keep you signed in across pages and reloads, and renew your session without asking for your password again;
- remember your interface preferences (such as theme, sidebar state, and dismissed notices);
- record how you use the Service, including session recordings, so we can see where people get stuck and fix what is broken;
- measure our advertising with Meta and Google.
03What we use
Sign-in. These are required for the Service to work:
- Session cookie (
sessionId): an HTTP-only cookie that identifies your signed-in session. - Access and refresh tokens: kept in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, and sent with each request to prove you are signed in. The access token lasts 24 hours; the refresh token renews it and keeps you signed in for up to 30 days after its last renewal.
Preferences. Local storage remembers choices you make, such as theme, language, and notices you dismissed. Clearing it resets those choices.
Analytics and session recording. Our analytics provider records the pages you view, the features you use, clicks, and errors. It also records your sessions. A recording does not include what you type into password and credential fields, such as passwords, one-time codes, card numbers and security codes, and broker API keys and secrets. A value you submit from one of those fields can still appear in a recorded network request, as described below. Everything else is recorded: a recording can include everything else on your screen and everything else you type, including other form fields. Windows embedded from other companies, such as Plaid’s or Stripe’s forms, are not recorded. When the provider’s setting that captures network activity is on, a recording can also include the contents of requests and responses, except that the provider’s software removes sign-in headers and replaces request or response bodies containing words such as “password,” “token,” or “secret.” When you are signed in, this data is linked to your account ID, email address, name, and plan. Our Privacy Policy explains who can see it and how long it is kept.
Advertising (Meta and Google). The Meta Pixel loads on every page of the Service, including pages inside the app. It reports the pages you view and events such as signing up, viewing pricing, connecting a broker, starting checkout, and starting a subscription (with the plan’s price). When you are signed in, it also sends Meta a copy of your email address that your browser hashes first. The Google Ads tag loads with each full page load of wealthnow.io and tells Google that the page was loaded, for ad measurement and remarketing; it is not told about each screen you open inside the app. It also sends Google a conversion event when you sign up, connect a broker, or start a subscription or trial, with the plan’s price when you subscribe. When you arrive from an ad, we also keep the ad click identifier and attach it to your checkout.
Other third parties. When you open content from a third party inside the Service (for example, a broker’s or connection service’s sign-in screen, or our payment processor’s checkout), that third party may set its own cookies under its own policy.
04Your choices
We do not currently show a cookie consent banner. Analytics, session recording, and advertising tools run for every visitor by default.
Every modern browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies and site data, usually under “Settings” → “Privacy and security.” Doing so can stop some of the tools above, but not necessarily all of them. If you block local storage, you will not be able to stay signed in.
05Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Browsers can send a Do Not Track header or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. The Service does not currently change what it collects or shares in response to either signal.
06Updates to this policy
We update this Cookie Policy when we add, remove, or change a tool it describes. Before a material change takes effect, we will give you at least 30 days’ advance notice by email and in the app, listing each change, unless the change stops a tool from collecting information. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest change.
