Wealthnow runs a hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Add it once, sign in with your Wealthnow account, and your assistant can look up market and research data for you. There is no API key to paste. Every tool only reads data: it cannot place orders, move money or change your account.
In Claude on the web or desktop, open Customize, then Connectors.
Select + Add, then Add custom connector.
Name it Wealthnow, paste the server URL and select Continue. Keep the sign-in settings Claude detects, then select Add.
Select Connect and sign in to Wealthnow.
Free Claude plans can add one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds it first under Organization settings, then Connectors.
ChatGPT
In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins, select the + button, then Add custom MCP server.
Name it Wealthnow and paste the server URL under Connection.
Choose OAuth for authentication, accept the notice, then select Create as a plugin.
Sign in to Wealthnow when asked. In a new chat, type @ and pick Wealthnow.
Custom MCP servers work in ChatGPT on the web only, and which plans offer them can change. In a Business or Enterprise workspace, an admin may need to allow them first.
Cursor
Open the Add to Cursor link below, or add Wealthnow to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
Other MCP clients work with the same URL. The MCP and SDK guide covers Claude Code, the full tool catalogue and API key sign-in.
Disconnect an assistant
Remove Wealthnow in the assistant’s own settings. To end its sign-in on our side as well, open your Wealthnow dashboard, go to Overview, then Connected agents, and select Disconnect. Our Privacy Policy explains what these connections share.
Common questions
The FAQ covers brokers, custody, pricing and security. For sales, partnerships or press, use the contact form.
No. Your funds and securities remain at the brokerage you connect. Wealthnow reads positions and routes the trades you authorise at supported brokers, but the brokerage holds the assets and executes the orders.
Broker credentials are encrypted, data is AES-256 at rest, and every connection to Wealthnow uses TLS. Your broker remains the custodian throughout.
No. Wealthnow is not currently registered as an investment adviser with the SEC or any state and is not a broker-dealer or custodian. Wealthnow is not a member of FINRA or SIPC. The connected brokerage is the regulated entity.
